Lateral / Small Pipe Inspection

Small pipe inspection can be accomplished using nozzle cameras that are pushed through the pipe to be inspected or cameras attached to other devices that are inserted in the pipe to be studied. The image from the camera is typically forward-facing along the pipe and automatic orientation of the image with respect to the vertical is possible with the appropriate equipment. Sewer lateral inspection can be accomplished with push cameras from a building or a lateral cleanout location but “satellite” lateral cameras also are available on mainline CCTV platforms and can be remotely guided into a lateral and pushed up the lateral for inspection purposes.
